UK Prime Minister Gordon Brown – The Violent Employer

Collateral Damage an inncocent Nokia killed by Gordon Brown

The vultures are queueing up, not just to pick over the carcass of New Labour but to hasten it’s demise, and that of deeply unpopular Prime Minister Gordon Brown.

A new book to be published on March 1: “The end of the party – The rise and fall of New Labour” by Andrew Rawnsley is set to cause further shockwaves and damage to Gordon Brown and Labour with revelations that Gordon Brown is both violent, and a bully to those who work for him.

Well-placed sources say the Prime Minister has been accused of hitting a senior adviser, pulling a secretary out of her chair and hurling foul-mouthed abuse at aides while distraught over an alleged snub by President Barack Obama.

One female official who has worked for Mr Brown said: ‘Gordon does shout when he gets cross and is not easy to work for. But he gets just as angry with himself. I have never heard of him hitting anyone.’

The claim that Mr Brown hit one of his officials centres on an incident when he was hurrying to a reception for visiting dignitaries. He is alleged to have reacted angrily when he was intercepted by an aide who asked him to attend to another matter.

According to one account, he punched the male official to get him out of the way. Other sources say Mr Brown merely brushed the official aside in a non-aggressive manner because he was running late.

The Prime Minister’s temper is said to have snapped when the secretary failed to keep up as he dictated a memo to her. He reportedly pulled her from her seat and sat at the computer keyboard himself, bashing out the memo.

The aides are said to have found him in his room, semi-clad and in a state of extreme agitation. They were then allegedly subjected to a stream of obscenities as he blamed them for the public-relations fiasco.

Two years ago, Mr Brown is said to have been so angry when told that computer discs containing child-benefit records of 25million people had been lost that he kicked a table hard enough to knock it over. And it was claimed he threw a mobile phone at a Government chauffeur.

The claims are being vigorously denied by Downing Street, so it will be interesting to watch developemnts to see if Gordon Brown sues.

For a Prime Minsiter to sue while in Office is not without precedent, Labour PM Harold Wilson sued the 60’s band The Move over some postcards.

Climategate – Pachuari Has Chauffer Driven Car For 1 Mile Drive To Office

In an outstanding display of the one rule for us and another for them philosphy of the global warming eco mentalists, IPCC Glaciergate supremo Dr Rajendra Pachauri is in the news once again this time for not using one of the 4 electric cars at his disposal. Instead our favourite railway engineer opts for a chauffeur driven Toyota Corolla, with of all things a petrol engine. Holy Environmental holocaust Batman!

Lies and hypocrisy always go hand in hand. Hat tip to the Daily Mail.

Church of Climatology – Ed Miliband Declares War On Climate Change Sceptics

For the first time since Copenhagen ended in failure Ed Miliband has the left the safety of the Church of Climatology to announce a holy war against the heretical non believers in ManBearPig.

Miliband is worried that there will be a public backlash against man made Climate Change because bloggers and a few MSM journalists with integrity keep finding more evidence of lies, fraud, deceit and total abandonment of scientific standards and principles.

In an exclusive interview for the Observer:

But in the government’s first high-level recognition of the growing pressure on public opinion, Miliband declared a “battle” against the “siren voices” who denied global warming was real or caused by humans, or that there was a need to cut carbon emissions to tackle it.

“It’s right that there’s rigour applied to all the reports about climate change, but I think it would be wrong that when a mistake is made it’s somehow used to undermine the overwhelming picture that’s there,” he said.

“We know there’s a physical effect of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere leading to higher temperatures, that’s a question of physics; we know CO2 concentrations are at their highest for 6,000 years; we know there are observed increases in temperatures; and we know there are observed effects that point to the existence of human-made climate change. That’s what the vast majority of scientists tell us.”

Business as usual, like Blair Miliband says press on regardless, even if the science is wrong.

The danger of climate scepticism was that it would undermine public support for unpopular decisions needed to curb carbon emissions, including the likelihood of higher energy bills for households, and issues such as the visual impact of wind turbines, said Miliband, who is also energy secretary.

Always a major worry for any leftwing socialist Labour politician, a new tax being rumbled by the victims before it can be slid stealthily in to law.

The Copenhagen conference in December ended with no formal agreement to make deep cuts in global emissions, or even set a timetable, but Miliband warned activists against “despair”.

Keep the faith oh dwindling band of followers, Osama Bin Laden has joined our crusade to screw the western world over for ever.

On little Eddy the MP’s own web site there is a poll on the left hand side bar:

Do you agree with the Government’s policy on coal and carbon capture and storage?

When Aardvark voted the current support was 28% for 64% against Gordon Brown and Miliband’s policies.

UK Flood Protection Bill Doubles To £1bn A Year By 2035 Caused By Climate Change

According to the latest estimate from the Environment Agency around 500,000 homes are at risk from flooding and the bill for flood defences is set to double by 2035.

It’s that year again 2035, made infamous by Glaciergate and making it’s second appearance.

Now Aardvark has every sympathy for people whose homes are flooded every year, a close relative lives near Gloucester and every year without fail they get flooded out.

Rivers have always flooded that is why we learnt about flood plains in Geography, years before the warming alarmists were even thought of; a lot of the most productive farmland is on flood plains. In the scramble for land and house building since World War 2 ended, developers have built where ever they could get planning permission without a thought for flood plains or water tables. In the 1980’s Aardvark was living in Camberley and they built an huge housing estate on what was marshland, to dry the land out they have a number of pumping stations which did indeed dry out the land, which in turned caused subsidence and cost the developer a fortune in under pining when the houses started to sink. Older homes which are subjected to flooding are often very close to rivers whose flow patterns have changed with additions of locks and weirs, as well as silting up with lack of use.

No AGW denier that Aardvark knows denies that the climate changes, it’s the cause of the change which is where the debate lies. There will always be periods of excess rain, too little rain and other natural climatic events. Undeterred as usual by the facts the Guardian is blaming this estimate on man made Climate Change.

After a few brief sentences about the risk of homes flooding it is back to the fear and alarmist hymn sheet:

Climate scientists predict that, by the 2080s, sea levels could be around 70cm higher around the southern parts of the UK, making serious storm surges and floods more frequent.

“What we know from the science of climate change is that weather patterns are going to become more extreme. The risk is going to get greater and we need to up our game in response to that,” said Chris Smith, the EA chairman, in an evidence session to the House of Commons environmental audit committee (EAC) last week.

The article is dominated by two large maps of the UK, one showing a sea level rise of 200 cm and the other 84 metres, warming alarmist fear mongering at it’s very best.

The key word is could, it is time warming alarmists learnt that could is not that likely, it is by no means certain.

World Economic Forum – From Copenhagen to Mexico: What’s Next?

Date: 29.01.2010
Time: 10:15-11:30
Location: Congress Hall, Congress Centre

The UN Climate Change Conference in Copenhagen did not reach a definitive global solution on carbon emissions.
What immediate steps should governments, businesses and civil society take towards a long-term climate path that is both environmentally effective and economically efficient?

Climategate – Osama Bin Laden Joins Forces With Al Gore

Two Relgious Nutters Try To Destroy Western Civilisation

You just could not make this up, if only Gordon Brown could be implicated as well then Aardvark would truly be in blog heaven.

Bin Laden echoes many who believe the manmade climate change theory saying, “Speaking about climate change is not a matter of intellectual luxury – the phenomenon is an actual fact.” The comments are akin to the oft-repeated ‘the science is settled’ argument.

Does this mean than Bin Laden has given up Islam and joined the Church of Climatology?

World Economic Forum Edward Markey Predicts Comprehensive US Climate Bill By End Of 2010

More Church of Climatology business as usual from Democratic Congressman Edward Markey:

Davos-Klosters Switzerland, 29 January 2010 − US Congressman Edward Markey told the World Economic Forum that President Obama has committed himself to passing climate legislation and that he fully expects the Senate and House of Representatives to produce a bill for President Obama to sign by the end of the year.

Markey said: “The reason that I believe that will happen is that it is in our national security and long-term economic interests.” A large part of the US deficit, Markey added, results from importing oil from countries to which the United States should not be sending its capital.

Markey, a Democrat from Massachusetts who co-authored a 946-page clean energy bill with Representative Henry Waxman (D-California), said that a Republican coalition is working with the White House to produce the final bill. He added that if Congress cannot arrive at a comprehensive energy bill, President Obama has the executive authority to regulate greenhouse gases without legislation. “If we have legislation, it allows us to moderate the impact on consumers and industry,” Markey said.

Business as usual for the warming alarmists.

World Economic Forum Still Pushing Climate Change Lies

Press Release from WEF in Davos:

Forum Report Identifies Policy Mechanisms to Bridge Funding Gap For Clean Economy

Davos-Klosters, Switzerland, 28 January 2010 − In a report released today, entitled Green Investing 2010: Policy Mechanisms to Bridge the Financing Gap, the World Economic Forum reveals that investment in clean energy has held up better than expected during the financial crisis and resulting recession, but a considerable gap still exists between current levels of investment and what is needed to begin reducing the world’s carbon emissions.

In another report, Green Investing: Towards a Low Carbon Energy Infrastructure, the World Economic Forum stated that moving to a low-carbon energy infrastructure will require global annual investment of around US$ 500 billion per annum, if the increase in global average temperatures is to be restricted to 2°C.

Complete and absolute denial that anything has changed they are still going for one world socialist government and wealth distribution, still Aardvark did warn you that the Copenhagen snake oil salesman were in town.

Climategate – Phil Jones Could Face Fraud Charges

Phil Jones and the CRU have escaped prosecution under the Freedom of Information Act because of the 6 month get out clause, Jones however is still open to prosecution under the 2006 Fraud Act.

What the Times and the rest of the media are overlooking is that the Crown Prosecution Service (CPS), not the ICO, are responsible for announcing the results of the police investigation into the Climategate scandal. The ICO is merely a non-departmental public body which reports directly to Parliament, sponsored by the Ministry of Justice and deals solely with data protection, FOIA regulations, privacy, electronic communications regulations and environmental regulations.

What is not being intelligently reported is that Jones is still liable as lead conspirator in the UK’s Climatic Research Unit (CRU) and may face prosecution under the United Kingdom Fraud Act (2006). If convicted of the offense of fraud by either false representation, failing to disclose information or fraud by abuse of his position, he stands liable to a maximum penalty of ten years imprisonment.

In this article I shall demonstrate that the fuss over the FOIA infringement, although in itself succeeding in achieving no conviction, does demonstrate that the ICO has acted improperly and may have prejudiced the outcome of any prosecution Jones may face for far more serious offenses for false representation (section 2) and failing to disclose information (section 3) under the Fraud Act (2006).

Climategate Finally Happens At The BBC On Question Time

An event happened today at the BBC that only three months ago would have caused Michael Mann and Phil Jones to start sending emails to the BBC, there was an open and frank discussion about the belief in the Church of Climatology on the most important and influential political show on UK television. The question was left until the last 12 minutes of the show, but the question about Phil Jones and CRU breaking the law was asked.

Before Aardvark continues on the AGW question there is another relevant and important factor, the location of the show which this week was from Basildon. Basildon is one of those microcosms of British politics, a constituency that mirrors national opinion pretty accurately, bear this in mind.

The heretic question was first passed to Labour minister for something or other Ben Bradshaw.

This is first time post Copenhagen that a member of Brown’s warmist Cabinet has publicly answered a direct question about AGW.

Bradshaw immediately condemned the CRU for breaking the law and then praised them for all the good work they have done with the IPCC on man made Climate Change, priceless. Climategate and Glaciergate were not mentioned just the pre Copenhagen warmist lie.

Bradshaw got little audience support and a few laughs for some of his alarmist statements. Read the rest of this entry
