Dave And The Coalition Worship At The Church Of Climatology
The gloves are now off as far as this Coalition Government are concerned, the Conservative party has become every bit as infected with Climate Religion as the Lib Dems and the unspeakable bunch that just lost the General Election.
Personal Carbon Trading is the single most fucking stupid idea since the mother of them all, Cap and Trade.
The big question that is starting to from is exactly what sort of Conservative Party has David Cameron built is his image?
From the current evidence it’s some sort of watered down Socialist Lib Dem mish mash, Conservative it aint.
What is amazing is to find this load of Church of Climatology dogma and propaganda on the Conservative Party Home Web Site from MP Tim Yeo:
It has become fashionable, especially in right wing circles, to be sceptical about climate change.
Climategate’ involved around a thousand emails sent or received by Professor Phil Jones, Director of the CRU. His department’s databases on global temperatures have played a crucial role in building the case that climate change is happening and is likely to get worse. The messages appeared to show that Jones and some of his colleagues had crossed the line from objective research into active campaigning.
But after the fuss died down Jones was largely exonerated by the House of Commons Science and Technology Select Committee whose inquiry into the affair found no evidence that he deliberately withheld or manipulated data to argue the case that climate change is real and influenced by human activity.
This could have been written by Eddy Miliband the Climate Change nut, since when is it fashionable to question the crock of shit and junk science that is Man Made Climate Change, there are too many questions not to be sceptical. Even if you are gullible enough to believe the whitewash investigations into Jones and the CRU, then the sheer number of errors in the IPCC 2007 alone, should be enough to make anyone not into Climate Religion sit up and ask questions about the quality of the work. Glaciergate anyone?
It was Tony Blair who said “The world must take action on climate change even if the science is not correct” and Dave has told everyone he is the natural heir to Tony Blair. So expect Dave to start a war sometime soon on the other side of the world.
One innovative way to engage the public’s attention and to encourage individual action would be the introduction of personal carbon trading. This concept was examined in 2008 by the Commons Environmental Audit Committee, whose report concluded that it had considerable merit and recommended the establishment of a pilot project.
Personal carbon trading involves a trading system in which emissions credits are allocated to all adults on a broadly equal per capita basis, within an overall national carbon budget. Individuals surrender credits for activities that are linked to climate change and involve carbon emissions, like air travel and domestic energy consumption. Those who want or need to emit more than their personal allocation buy extra credits, while those who do not use their full allowance are free to sell their surplus credits for cash.
This should end up being as corrupt as all the other trading schemes for Carbon
