No Mention of AGW at Labour’s Conference
The worsening state of the AGW scam is amply demonstrated by it’s complete omission from one single significant event at the Labtard conference in Manchester.
As Forrest Gump completed the political fratricide of David and droned on through his inaugural leaders speech not once did Forrest mention Global Warming, Climate Change, Global Climate Disruption, give our money away to third world dictators, ocean acidification, 20% of all plants threatened or whatever the regrouped fear stories from former warming alarmists are going to be.
This lack of attendance at the Church of Climatology has not gone unnoticed by the Church’s Synod, aka Friends of the Earth; who are dampening their Tena pants with excitement that a warming alarmist is now heading up the Labtard party.
Ed Miliband’s election as Labour leader on Saturday provides a real opportunity for the party to put the environment at the forefront of its policy making.
His stint as secretary of state for energy and climate change certainly gives him the greenest track record of all the main party leaders, where he demonstrated a genuine understanding of the massive threats the planet faces and the need for urgent action. His 18-month tenure oversaw significant progress.
The Climate Change Act, which set the first national legislation anywhere in the world to cut emissions and for which Friends of the Earth led the campaign, was probably the Labour government’s biggest environmental success.
The Climate Change Act is complete stupidity that puts our industry at a global disadvantage to all our competitors.
Forrest likes the support and involvement of unions and vocal minority groups, so in true socialist fashion he be all things to all minorities and fuck all to the rest of us.
And he (Ed Miliband) navigated the tricky issue of pollution from coal-fired power stations, insisting that no new coal-fired power stations could be built unless steps were taken to capture and store the carbon dioxide they produced. Unfortunately he stopped short of setting carbon limits for all power stations.
So that is totally clear then Ed Miliband was willing to plunge the country into blackouts for the sake of his Climate Religion and wealth redistribution scheme.
A green Labour party would also win back votes from Liberal Democrats, who have long prided themselves on their environmentalism, but find themselves disillusioned with the policies coming forward. And if Ed, the unions and the wider Labour movement push the message that job creation, improved housing and reduced fuel bills arise from a shift to a low-carbon economy, it could carry real weight in the Labour heartlands, too. What better subject matter for Labtard election leaflets than socialist lies intertwined the lies of the green warming alarmist eco-mentalists.
