Climategate British Diplomats Pray At Church Of Climatology
A definite case of the red mist came down when Aardvark picked up a tweet from Giles Paxman, the British Ambassador to Spain regarding wind power and bird choppers.
Giles Paxman is the brother of, Jeremy Paxman BBC’s political heavy weight and king of sarcasm, well al least he was until he met Boris Johnson.
Giles Paxman is really onside for the Warming Alarmist policies of our
Vichy Coalition Government, where he is singing from the hymnsheet of Al Gore and The Eton Grocer.
Paxman on the Foreign Office Blog:
We have huge potential from capturing the power of tides and currents around our coasts but the technology is not yet fully developed. Nuclear energy has always attracted strong views, both for and against. Solar energy is big in Spain but, as last summer showed, the key ingredient is often lacking in the UK.
Diplomatic staff are supposed to broadcast the Government line, but this is taking the piss somewhat as there was a project to harness the tidal energy of the River Severn, but it was cancelled by Chris Huhne The Wind God, as it did not involve bird choppers and man made landscapes.
Nuclear energy is brushed under the carpet as people have differing views, which leaves the field clear for the only solution Wind Power, Dave and Chris Huhne have made their mind up, never mind the cost differentials between wind and nuclear, never mind the damage to industry, never mind the energy poverty for the elderly and those on low incomes.
Remember this is not science, this is not policy this is Climate Religion were are dealing with.
That is why, yesterday, the Prime Minister announced his intention to make the UK a world leader in offshore wind energy. Just a couple of hours later, the Spanish company Gamesa published a plan to invest up to €150m in the UK in a wind turbine blade manufacturing plant, a turbine assembly plant and associated R&D centre, port logistics and operation and maintenance services at different locations across the UK. Gamesa also plans to put its global offshore wind HQ in London – a terrific vote of confidence in the UK’s future leadership in wind energy.
David Cameron knows this, as does Chris Huhne as does Giles Paxman. Our Vichy government is treating us with same contempt as did the regime of Gordon Brown.
This is great news. As we work to create a low carbon economy, wind energy has to be an obvious choice. The new offshore technology is challenging, requiring bigger turbines, placed far out at sea. (The Chairman of Gamesa once described this to me as the equivalent of placing a fully loaded Airbus 340 on top of a 120metre steel tower in 30metres of water.) If Britain really is to develop its position as a world leader we need to work with other countries to refine the technology and build the supply chain. (It is no coincidence that the Embassy is holding an offshore wind supply chain seminar today.) Companies like Gamesa have a key role to play in this.
Paxman will also have been fully briefed that wind speed across western europe has declined 12.5% in the last 30 years.
Hat tip to Giles Paxman for following Hitler’s dictum on telling a big enough lie often enough people will believe it, that worked 60 years ago when the Nazis controlled the media, trouble is in the 21st Century its a bit more difficult to fool all of the people all of the time.
David Cameron has really lived up to his boast that he is the natural successor to Tony Blair, it was Blair who said “Even if the science is not correct the world must act”.
All the Eton Grocer needs to do now is start an illegal war and smack SamCam in the mouth with a billhook and he really will be Tony Blair.
