Japanese Tsunami Was Caused By Global Warming

The Japanese Tsunami - caused by Global Warming

We all knew it would happen, the warming alarmists are blaming the tragedy in Japan on Global Warming, never ones to a miss an opportunity the usual suspects like Grist.org and the European Economic and Social Committee are at it again.

Hours after a massive earthquake rattled Japan, environmental advocates connected the natural disaster to global warming. The president of the European Economic and Social Committee, Staffan Nilsson, issued a statement calling for solidarity in tackling the global warming problem.

“Some islands affected by climate change have been hit,” said Nilsson. “Has not the time come to demonstrate on solidarity — not least solidarity in combating and adapting to climate change and global warming?”

“Mother Nature has again given us a sign that that is what we need to do,” he added.

Global warming enthusiasts have also taken to Twitter to raise awareness of the need to respond to the earthquake by finally acting on climate change. And the Competitive Enterprise Institute’s Lee Doren compiled some of the best ones.

Some examples:

AliceTMBFan said “2 hours of geography earlier talking about Japan has left me thinking…maybe global warming is way more serious then we thought…”

Arbiterofwords tweeted “I’m worried that Japan earthquake, on top of other recent natural ‘disasters’, is a sign we’ve passed point of no return for climate change.”

MrVikas said “Events like the #Japan #earthquake and #tsunami MUST keep #climate change at forefront of policy thought: http://bit.ly/cZe8To #environment

Tayyclayy noted her frustration by tweeting “An earthquake with an 8.9 magnitude struck Japan.. And some say climate change isn’t real?!”

Aardvark would dearly like to hear from anyone who has real scientific evidence that Climate Change did cause this tragedy in Japan, until then Piers Corbyn’s science based theories remain far more likely as the cause, rather the universal fitting of Climate Change to any crisis that happens.

  1. Is it me or are they all a set of cunts?

  2. Anybody with any schooling should know that tsunamis can be an after effect of earthquakes, in certain situations. And there’s no way that earthquakes can be said to be caused by global warming. Ergo tsunamis natural phenomena caused by the make up of our wonderful planet.

I can remember learning the basics about volcanoes and earthquakes etc. before I reached the age where geography became an optional subject at school. (Our only obligation was to take at least one subject out of geography and history.)

  3. You think that’s bad, the leader of the Greens Australia, Senator Bob Brown, (who is gay, but I’m not homophobic) stated after the Qld floods that it was caused by 75 years of fossil fuel burning. Of course now we are in the heat of installing a carbon tax that no other country in the world has done yet. Even now
no one other than in the Coalition has been game enough to call all those supporting this tax and the scientists also promoting it paid by taxpayers, that it is a load of crap!

Hows this going in UK.? I’ve lost contact with this blog for months.

  4. Earthquakes and shifts of the Earths crust are NOT due to Global Warming. If that was the case we wouldn’t have earthquakes and Tsunami’s during periods of Global Cooling. This fear mongering is for the uninformed among us that tune into the ‘Sky is Falling’ hysteria. The Tsunami was caused by Mother Earth not Man. In fact the Tsunami’s have dumped more pollution into our Oceans that Man could accomplish in 500 years.

  5. During the last ice age, Japan was almost uninhabitable, because of volcanic eruptions and earthquakes. So – these idiots don’t know their geology. When nature turns nasty we can do nothing but prepare for a likely event. They can do more to prevent flooding for starters, as in Oz people congregate around fresh water sources, rivers, for starters and have built during droughts etc., and when heavy rain comes they get swamped out. But some towns are getting smart and building levies to prevent this. Instead of investing in stupid climate change commissions etc., that’s what they should be doing. Including putting more money into our bush fire prevention, and building house that can sustain not only earthquakes but also cyclones. Won’t stop the weather extremes, but it can help prevent property damage etc., and lives eventually.
