Climate Change LOL Story Of The Week

That pesky mutant space goat is back to eat the planet

Some completely ludicrous tales of environmental Armageddon have been made up to push the Climate of Fear agenda, that is the only tool of the warming alarmists; this piece in the Vernon Morning Star has to be the biggest LOL story of them all.

Not even the faintest pretence at cherry picked junk science, instead straight for the jugular with the author predicting the end of civilisation in 89 years time unless we all behave like good little mindless sheep and buy in to the Church of Climatology.

Apparently should the vast shale oil deposits in continental North America be extracted and used then the Venusian effect with hit planet Earth,  scary shit!

The effects of human-induced climate change kill around 300,000 people per year and annually cost 125 billion dollars. Current food shortages are largely the result of drought and floods caused by our use of fossil fuels. The death toll is escalating as our use of coal and oil soars.

The question debated by real science is not if, but when will the “business as usual” approach to using greenhouse gases, push global warming to the point of no return and wipe us out.

Will it be the rapid collapse of the land-based ice sheets or the release of methane stored as frozen hydrates?

There is five billion tons of known oil, coal and gas in the world and an estimated one to 100 billion tons of methane frozen in the ground waiting to melt and release. Methane is also 20 times stronger a green house gas than CO2. Burning all of the unconventional fossil fuels, especially the tar sands, would likely trigger the Venus syndrome.

Why especially the tar sands?

These would be refined to produce the same grade oils and fuels as are currently available, from oil deposits. The tar sands are feared by the Church of Climatology because they offer large reserves of oil that negate the need for wind and solar power.

The top-rated climate scientist in the world, James Hansen from NASA stated, “If we burn all reserves of oil, gas, and coal, there is a substantial chance we will initiate the run-away greenhouse. If we also burn the tar sands and tar shale, I believe the Venus Syndrome is a dead certainty.”

James Hansen top rated climate scientist in the world, caught making up the data yet again so 20xx will always be the hottest year on record.

Venus has a temperature of 450°C (842°F), hot enough to melt lead. It once held water but the runaway greenhouse effect heated the planet so much that the water molecules were destroyed.

The sun’s energy hitting Earth is slightly more than half that of Venus. Burning the tar sands and tar shale could, over time, put Earth’s temperature to around 225°C (437°F).

Mr. Harper and the fossil fuel industry do not want you to know this. In fact, the oil industry has hired advocates to create disinformation and doubt, while the government of Stephen Harper has cut funding to our own climate scientists.

No one can say for sure when business as usual will end human life, but some of the most notable climate scientists in the world suggest that continuing as we are, humanity or at least civilization, will be terminated in about 89 years, the end of this century.

This does not mean that all seven billion of us will make it that far.

No facts, no figures just a feeble conspiracy theory and the worn out texts of the Church of Climatology.

  1. What a fantastic picture! Do they really make up data, I am shocked.

ps Will the furore over Obama’s birth certificate stop now?

  2. Yes Angie, making up the data, siting temperature recording sites where they will record abnormally high readings, cherry picking data and using it out of context is a way of life for warming alarmists.

Re Obozo’s birth certificate doubtful as they are questions about the BC itself and above all the timing of the release of the BC, nd then there are the use of terms like Caucasian instead of American.

  3. The ‘Church of Climatology’. That’s good, I’m going to use that one if you don’t mind. I don’t know if you coined that term but it sums it up quite nicely.

The ‘Venus syndrome’, that’s a good one. The Co2 content of Venus atmosphere is around 95% today. Surely that guy is not suggesting that Venus once had low Co2 levels like on Earth. There is NO evidence to suggest that Venus ever had CO2 levels any lower or higher than today. None. It’s also hot on Venus, but it’s 40 million kms closer to the Sun than earth, if we dropped earth in Venus’s orbit we’d fry too. The Venus syndrome is a myth. This guy is a complete fear monger. He’s deluded. I think he is a priest in the Church of Climatology.
