Greenpeace Co-Founder Blasts Wind Power

Greenpeace co-founder Dr Patrick Moore - "The wind industry destroys more jobs than it creates, and causes energy prices to climb for all users".

Wind power is the saviour of the planet, the gateway to a Green renewables heaven according to Chris Huhne, the EU, Greenpeace, WWF, FoE and the ecomentalist  simpleton that is heir to the British throne.

Nothing could be further from the truth as Attila the Huhnatic repeatedly lies about the Green jobs his personal crusade for bird choppers will bring, the conclusion of a  US House of Representatives report on Green jobs was one of universal failure on a global scale.

Globally the renewables industry is in massive decline as cash strapped governments cut or remove altogether the subsidies Green taxation that was the oxygen for wind and solar power.

Now from the other side of the AGW argument Dr Patrick Moore a co-founder of Greenpeace, has condemned wind farms and the wind industry in general:

Southwestern Ontario’s flourishing wind energy industry came under fire Wednesday from the co-founder of Greenpeace.

Dr. Patrick Moore told more than 1,000 area farmers the industry destroys more jobs than it creates, and causes energy prices to climb for all users.

“The industry is a destroyer of wealth and negative to the economy,” said Moore, speaking at the 19th annual Southwest Agricultural Conference at Ridgetown campus of the University of Guelph.

Moore, who now refers to himself as the “sensible environmentalist,” said the solar bubble has burst and thinks the wind bubble is about to burst.

Even an ecomentalist of Moore’s standing can see the end for renewables, if only Chris Huhne were as smart.

“I’m happy for the farmers who are receiving royalties for allowing the wind towers to be built on their farms,” he said. “They deserve it — but the cost to consumers will continue to climb — partly because of rate increases and partly due to tax increases.”

Moore said there wouldn’t be wind farms in southwestern Ontario if taxpayers weren’t paying the bill.

“They are ridiculously expensive and don’t work half the time,” he said. “And no matter how many are built, they won’t replace coal, gas or hydro or nuclear plants, because they are continuous and wind is not always reliable.”

Moore told his audience the wind energy industry in Spain has resulted in a 30% unemployment rate among people under the age of 30.

The speaker was also highly critical of the organization he co-founded, claiming it’s counter-productive today from an environmental standpoint.

“The organization should at least base its positions on science,” he said.

Sensible environmentalist, an oxymoron if there ever were  one.

The entire environmental movement bought into the man made Climate Change scam, embraced it and screamed for a return to the Agrarian marxist society.

Globally just about every  NGO climbed on the Climate Change band wagon, adopted junk science as a religion to achieve their political agenda and pushed the Global Warming fear stories endlessly.

As the Church of Climatology implodes it is a bit late to try repositioning as a “sensible environmentalist” given the Green environmentalist complicity in the AGW scam,  for many years to come “Green” and “enviornmentalist” are going to be words associated with the great man made Global Warming scam, bywords for gullibility, stupidity and Middle Ages style belief in a religion founded on junk science and fear.

Remember when the WWF was eharmony for Pandas?

  1. Your last paragraph is the best ever, keep up the good work and lets not let the warmestias keep the world from becoming a better place.

  2. “sensible environmentalist” is not necessarily an oxymoron, but at present it is certainly an obsolescent term. Maybe a conservationist is now the term for a sensible environmentalist?

  3. lets hope the uk government see sense eventually

  4. “Lets hope the uk government see sense eventually”

    Eventually may be to late…

    • im from the u.s. and im assuming you’re from the u.k. from what i see it seems the main branches of the u.k. support global warming? am i wrong? that must be difficult. it has spread accross the u.s…..especially with Obama….but luckily the real powers behind the executive branch, as well as the congress/ cabinet etc….don’t seem to be too threatened by it. however the media and stupid activists are making it hard for them to ignore it. i think the pressure our government gets from the media, non-government public figures like bored celebrities, and mass activists is the only reason they adress the problem at all! they would more readily listen to scientists without that pressure from the mob. they want to get re-elected….you know!? its so disgraceful that the Environmentalist movement rejects scientific opinion from the leading climate change and polar bear experts……as well as systematically manipulating data to get funding and more followers. anyhow, im wondering how this affects citizens of the u.k.? i know the government is less conservative. i would like to get a citizens opinion because what its hard to find how it really is from BBC. with regards

  5. I pretty much agree with everything you said. however, i wouldn’t bash Moore for his term “sensible environmentalism” for a few reasons. Firstly, the ideology of the term exists. There are many environmentally conscious people in terms of not unnecessarily wasting resources (recycling etc.) and protecting natural wonders (endangered species, wetlands). The latter is more economically hindering — I live in VT and too many hippies protest construction. The redtape businesses have to go through to expand has scared many away and it harshly affects the employment….yet, I still think certain areas should be guarded from destruction even though I willingly admit the protection of nature does nothing for the economy haha. Secondly, a large portion of the delusional followers of the Environment movement are just stupid sheep. Giving them a less embarrassing way out would be beneficial for our country (and planet for that matter). It may provide an outlet for them and maybe even the zealots as science continuously prove them wrong. People are inherently prideful and its the main reason they have a hard time giving up on a viewpoint they’ve preached vehemently. Lastly, supporting people like Moore for ‘waking up’ would have a better domino affect. When the doubting Environmentalists see a converter mocked it would most likely instill fear in them to flip to logic. However, I suppose truth of journalism is just as important as the politics of hopefully regaining some of these delusional sheep. I love your candor and grasp on reality. I think all we need are more photogenic people like lord monckton hahaha. I love what he says but theres no way the stupid public will listen to a bug-eyed Brit. Hahaha, I have nothing against the British….I love their music/film and culture in general. Keep on spreading truth!

How can a so-called climate ‘realist’ make such simplistic and unrealistic statements such as “[T]he entire environmental movement bought into the man made Climate Change scam, embraced it and screamed for a return to the Agrarian marxist society.” Are you saying that all these people are simple minded fools and budding Pol Pots?

You are also implying that the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change, a body that draws upon the contributions of over 2,000 of the world’s top scientists from over 100 countries is actually out to dupe everyone by publishing “junk science”. Considering the risk and negative consequences this would have upon a scientist’s reputation and career what have they to gain? World domination? What you are actually advancing is one of the wildest conspiracy theories I have ever heard and utterly unrealistic.

Behind the façade of realism it is climate deniers like Tory Aardvark whose opinions are founded on junk science and fear. The ‘real’ global warming debate is not a question of whether climate change is happening but the degree to which it is happening and how to lessen its effects.

lets see hmmm the united states has how many turbines? i think they estimate like 20,000,and how many conventional power plants have been shut down because of wind? none. so with the united states throwing away 24 billion in 2011 in subsidies to support a business that will always have to be supported who’s fooling who?. so if the wind association can give any where from 5000 dollars to 25,000 dollars to many politicans to pamper votes to extend subsidies for profit, are you seeing the money loop yet? ok so now with the united states 15 trillion dollars in debt is this a smart move? no why, well all these wind jobs have created another false hope for the economy, all the new homes, trucks, toys wind workers have flooded banks with are all depending on the wind companies extending and increasing subsides which every country involved is struggling to meet, seeing the loop yet? so now lets talk about our enviroment and false claims that have been wind energy has pulled on the public, clean green energy? the manufacturing of these turbines are amoung the greatest C02 producers, steel and concrete, and magnet ore mining and read it and weep OIL, what they have created in C02 in manufacturing alone will never be made up for in 20 years if the turbine actualy lasts that long. now the biggest misleading sales pitch to the public is the “installed capacity” take for instance a developer says 200 mega watt wind plant, this number is the total number of turbines with the top capacity which is rated only at the peak wind rating say in between a 35 to 45 mph wind every day of the year, anyone with common sense knows the wind will not blow at these speeds every day. logically if it did we would’nt have thousands upon thousands of turbines, and if only 1% of electricity is produced from oil in the united states and wind energy association claims they are producing 23% of the nations power now who’s fooling who. remember when it was plant a tree save the earth? now wind energy says flatten a forrest and blast a mountain? what have we done and who is going to stand up and be man enough to say folks we made a huge mistake, back to the drawing board, surely not any government that lead us into this.i’m sure our grand children will wonder this in the future.
