The Fad Of Climate Religion Is Ending

The Church of Climatology, a faddish religion at the end of its life

The complete and abject failure of Rio+20 has signalled the end of the great man made global warming scam, a last ditch attempt at changing the name of the scare again, this time to “sustainable development” made no difference, Rio+20 was the definitive failure.

The pre Rio+20 hoopla boasted of 50,000 delegates attending, the reality was that along with most of the important world leaders, 40,000 of the projected 50,000 attendees had something better to do that week, like watching paint dry.

The pews at the Church of Climatology in Rio were mostly empty, if there were ever a time when the converted were preaching to the converted Rio+20 was it.

As the climate-change theory crumbles, expect its supporters to be more vocal in its defence, more insistent that the science is ironclad. Like the cultish followers of any faddish religion when it nears the end of its fashionableness, they will proclaim their views even more vociferously and denounce more forcefully all those who disagree. But increasingly, their warnings of impending doom and their character attacks on their opponents will be performed before empty houses, as in Rio.

Kumi Naidoo, Greenpeace’s executive director, called last week’s United Nations eco-conference in Rio de Janeiro an “epic failure.”

Anytime a Watermelon marxist like Naidoo from Greenpeace, or any other Green NGO calls a UN synod an “epic failure”, every  sensible person on the planet should rejoice.

The Copenhagen declaration was meaningless. No one at the meeting had the slightest clue how they would go about keeping global thermometers from going up. But at least early the next morning they could all emerge from the boardroom, refasten their cuffs, tighten their ties and pose for the obligatory group photo.

Rio didn’t even manage that kind of phony accord.

Oh, sure, there was a final statement re-upping the world governments’ commitment to work together to achieve “sustainable development” and avoid climate catastrophe. But no one’s heart was in it.

The politicians know now that there are no votes in the Green scam anymore, populations are wise to the failed predictions of doom, the ever spiralling cost of Green renewable energy and the desires of a few to impose a Green socialist agrarian society on the world.

But mostly the wind has come out of the environmentalists’ sails because the science isn’t so settled as it once seemed. Perhaps the earth isn’t warming as much or as quickly as once feared, and to the extent it is maybe it’s the sun and not man-made carbon emissions that is the cause.

Anyone who seriously believes that science is ever settled is either congenitally stupid, or blinded by a religious zeal, science is never, ever settled.

The Guardian is loudly protesting that Environmentalism is not a religion,  not all of their readers agree as this  comment shows:

Environmentalism, in the form of Climate Change Alarmism, is a religion.

Notice all the structural and behavioral similarities:

Monk = Scientist – They provide the articles of the faith

Priest = Journalist – They spread the faith and convert the faithful

Sin = Carbon Emissions – How an individual’s acts hurt the community

Salvation = Energy Reduction – How an individual can redeem oneself

Indulgences = Carbon Credits – Buying forgiveness

Church = IPCC – Organisation in charge of the faith

Bible = IPCC Reports – the official guidebook to the faith

Evangelists = Activists – aggressive promoters of the faith

God = Gaia – the “superhuman” who will “judge” us

Lovelock = Judas – the betrayer of the faith, the apostate

Hell = 2 degree temperature rise – hot/cold/dry/wet whatever is bad will be worse

Signs from God = Any Storm or Drought

Tithes = Carbon Taxes – every religion needs money

  2. There is one positive method in discovering who has been gullible with fake and skewed data, and this being tomorrow, and tomorrow, and tomorrow.

What has been evident so far, are quacks and PR charlatans putting out slander and lies about legitimate scientists including Climatologist’s world wide, hoping the misled and gullible don’t look out the window tomorrow and discover those with a brain are more accurate than fools working for fossile fuel entities including those dependant of cheap poluting energy.

Clean Coal… blind leading the blind.

Perhaps the snow in Denver has melted…. anyway.
