David Suzuki Spouts Meaningless Green Drivel

Canadian Environmentalist David Suzuki, who in 1972 compared humans to maggots and fruit flies

David Suzuki is a Canadian environmentalist and long time hater of people as this video clip from 1972 demonstrates, where Suzuki compares people to fruit flies and maggots, while an adoring audience of hippies hangs on his every word.

Suzuki was in some ways a prophet ahead of his time, possibly even an inspiration for the New Age religion of Gaia, which places nature above everything including human beings, Suzuki is from the same school of thought as Paul Ehrlich who wants to cull 80% – 90% of people on the planet to appease Gaia.

It goes without saying that Suzuki is an ardent propagandist for the Anthropogenic Global Warming scam, in 1990 Suzuki co-founded the David Suzuki Foundation which among other environmental activities is concerned with man made Climate Change.

Suzuki, like many other environmental activists is having trouble adjusting to a post Rio+20 world, a world where once people like Suzuki had the ear of politicians, and now they find themselves sidelined and increasingly irrelevant.

In a moment of wishful thinking, worthy of Mohammed Saeed al-Sahaf, aka Comical Ali, Suzuki attempts to keep the Great Global Warming Scam alive with a post entitled “Climate change deniers are almost extinct“:

Most North Americans know that human-caused global warming is real, even if political leaders don’t always reflect or act on that knowledge. According to a recent poll, only two per cent of Canadians reject the overwhelming scientific evidence that Earth is warming at alarming rates – a figure that may seem surprising given the volume of nonsense deniers (many of them funded by the fossil fuel industry) spread through letters to the editor, blogs, radio call-ins, and website comments.

No surprises that Suzuki provides no link to this “recent poll” which like the “recent warming” only seems to exist in the minds and belief systems of Green ideologues.

Suzuki claims that 98% of the Canadian population believe in Climate Religion, well if this were the case, then surely when the day after COP17 finished, and Canada withdrew from the Kyoto Protocol there would have been a massive political backlash for such an unpopular action. Instead Canada’s actions passed with scarcely a murmur from anyone but the Greens and environmentalists.

Suzuki then cites Richard Muller as a reformed sceptical scientist that has got on onbard the Green Team for the Big Win.

Meanwhile, one of the few “skeptic” climate scientists, Richard Muller, recently reversed his thinking. Muller and colleagues at the University of California, Berkeley, studied climate data dating back to 1753, then looked at possible causes of the unusual warming observed since the mid-1950s.

Richard Muller has never been a climate change denier, and moreover even politically motivated climate scientists like Michael “Hockey Stick” Mann doubt the validity of Muller’s methods and conclusions.

Our climate has always changed, and natural variation is part of that. But scientists have long known that carbon dioxide and other gases trap heat in the atmosphere. Recent warming is occurring at an unprecedented rate that corresponds to burning fossil fuels. According to NASA, global average temperatures have been rising significantly since the 1970s, “with the 20 warmest years having occurred since 1981 and with all 10 of the warmest years occurring in the past 12 years.”

Suzuki really should take time to read the IPCC reports which by their own figures show that the mean global temperature has dropped 1°C since 1990.

Suzuki on Agenda 21 is utterly priceless:

There’s also a subset of deniers who see some nefarious conspiracy in climate science and “Agenda 21” (a nonbinding, voluntary UN agreement on sustainable development) to impose a world government or something, but their irrational arguments aren’t worth the time of day.

Agenda 21 was the brain child of the club of Rome:

“The common enemy of humanity is man.
In searching for a new enemy to unite us, we came up with the idea that pollution, the threat of global warming,
water shortages, famine and the like would fit the bill. All these dangers are caused by human intervention, and it is only through changed attitudes and behavior that they can be overcome.
The real enemy then, is humanity itself.”
– Club of Rome,
premier environmental think-tank,
consultants to the United Nations

The common enemy of humanity is man” which is probably why Suzuki tries to dismiss rightful concern about Agenda 21 as irrational, in the Green world of David Suzuki, Paul Ehrlich and the Club of Rome the common enemy is mankind.

Suzuki like many others in the self proclaimed Green elite will continue to pour forth utter bullshit endless fanciful ramblings for years to come, but with each passing year the audience will diminish until all that is left for the Greens, will be preaching to the converted.

Former warming alarmist Paul Lovelock got it entirely correct when he accused the Green environmentalists of spouting “Meaningless Green drivel“.

  1. Lovelock wasn’t the only one to accuse greenies of spouting drivel, Muller said the following in a recent radio interview with some california greenie socialists:

Richard Muller: “… The standards held over there at the University of East Anglia are just not up to what we consider standard scientific methods….” “… What they were saying was for the last thousand years, it has not been this warm. I think that conclusion is wrong. And… global warming is right, but they were, again, exaggerating. They withheld the data, as they said in their emails – ”

Richard Muller: “The conclusions that Michael Mann drew, that it’s the warmest it’s been in a thousand years – I was on an international academy review panel that looked at that. Our conclusion was: he could not draw those conclusions.”

He said “Okay, we’re having a heat spell. To call that “global warming” – and the globe isn’t warming – is just an attempt to grab headlines .. to get the public interested in this important issue.”…. “But that doesn’t mean that we’re seeing increased wildfires. It doesn’t mean we’re seeing increased tornadoes. We’re not, we’re not. Yes, the temperature’s going up, yes it’s greenhouse gases. But to exaggerate it, by bringing in all these other things, I think, tends to mislead the public. And when they learn that they’re wrong, when in 2006 there are no hurricanes hitting the U.S. despite predictions, they tend to become somewhat cynical about science. I think that’s really unfortunate.”

Muller might be a member of the climate alarmist faith but he speaks blaspheme on a regular basis. I like this Muller fellow, he’s just an inch away from being a denier.

  2. BTW, I can’t stand Suzuki. Over the last 40 years he has worked himself down from one of the most credible environmentalists in Canada to about the least credible. He recently had to step down from his non-profit foundation, or perhaps they kicked him out, aparently it wasn’t as non-profit as they had claimed. Lol!

    Suzuki, he makes me laugh.

  3. He got stuck in the 60’s silliness of hating just about everyone and wanting everyone to listen to his ranting………..in his mind we should force people to follow the Green Religion.

  4. The glaciers of the world have all receded. Some of them, like the one on top of Kilimanjaro in Kenya, are about to go away. No one can deny the reduction in glacial ice – its not trivial.
