IPCC Chief Rajendra Pachauri We Are All Going To Die (Again) But No Armageddon Date This Time

IPCC Chief Rajendra Pachauri predicts we are all going to die again, but this time sensibly does give a year when this will happen.

IPCC Chief Rajendra Pachauri predicts we are all going to die again, but this time sensibly does not give a year when this will happen.

The pre-COP silly season is well underway with all outlets of the Global Warming industry spreading doom, gloom, fear and trying desperately to find non existent heat in the deep oceans.

No run up to a UNFCCC COP meeting would complete without some predictions of Armageddon from the head of the UNFCCC Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC), Rajendra Pachauri.

The head of the IPCC is not a climate scientist, nor indeed any form of scientist, Pachauri is by profession a railway engineer and a part time soft core porn novel writer, with a long track record of making failed predictions of when the 4 Green horsemen of Apocalypse will arrive.

Now in Pachauri world it is 5 minutes to Green midnight and the Apocalypse:

UN climate science chief Rajendra Pachauri says the world is facing imminent disaster unless countries take swift action to curtail greenhouse gas emissions.

Speaking in Delhi on Monday he said: “We have five minutes before midnight,” arguing that governments had historically avoided taking responsibility for global warming.

Pachauri has been harping on about the Green Apocalypse being just around the corner for years:

We have just a small window of opportunity and it is closing rather rapidly. There is not a moment to lose.
January 2005

If there’s no action before 2012, that’s too late. What we do in the next two to three years will determine our future. This is the defining moment.
November 2007

I am very worried that we are running out of time.
January 2008

It is very important to reach an [international emissions] agreement by 2009.
April 2008

If we allow things to continue unchanged and we don’t take action today, it would destabilize human society…I hope that in the next year and a half…that we show a certain resolve and aspiration to do things that are required for the benefit of the human race.
August 2008

The least cost part of effective emissions reduction would really require us to see that global emissions peak no later than 2015. And that’s just four years away…if we have to meet that requirement of a least cost trajectory of emissions stabilisation then we really need to move rapidly and every country in the world has to do that.
May 2011

It has to be said that Pachauri has finally learned from his past mistakes about time stamping Armageddon, when the first predictions failed to happen, Pachauri resorted to slipping the date back a few years, as this has not panned out either, we are now left with the meaningless cliché of 5 minutes to midnight.

  3. There is no safe distance for wind Turbines, NOT GREEN, NOT CHEAP, NOT RELIABLE, and come with a very BAD side EFFECT on people and the ENVIRONMENT. there is Nothing GREEN about TURBINES. SAY NO TO WIND TURBINES.

  4. I had always that IPCC was an acronym for the InterPlanetary Cadet Corps, better known as Space Cadets.

  5. As we have burnt more fossil fuels over the last 10 years than ever before in the history of mankind, could someone please explain why the mean average global temperature had dropped over this period of time? Simple question; is there a simple answer?

  6. Hi! I just wanted to ask if you ever have any trouble with hackers?
My last blog (wordpress) was hacked and I ended up losing many months of hard work due to
no back up. Do you have any methods to protect against hackers?

  7. It’s going to be end of mine day, but before finish I am reading this fantastic piece of writing to increase my experience.
