Nick Clegg insisted on ITN News that the Liberals would not merge with the Tories and he said the coalition is a temporary arrangement.
Pull the other one, Nick, we can never believe a word you say again.
You are now so unpopular that metaphorically, the hum of your life support machine would be music to the ears of the nation.
Nick Clegg said:
“The Liberal Democrats will fight the next election as we did the last – as an independent political party in every constituency in the country,” Insisting the Coalition deal was a temporary arrangement, he added: “This is the right government for right now.”

Iain Dale is giving up blogging, to pursue a new career with his publishing company, broadcasting at LBC and of course, Total Politics.
Iain was in many ways the bloggers blogger and Aardvark is very grateful for all the help Iain gave us when we started.

When Nadine Dorries announced on Twitter that she was appearing on BBC Question time tonight there was an immediate out pouring of what can only be described as pure unadulterated vitriol, in short its just plain nasty.
These sorts of attacks on right wing female politicians, bloggers and tweeters are all too common place, Aardvark has direct knowledge of personal sexual slurs being made against people he knows, not to mention the blue anteater who would like to set the record straight: Aardvarks don’t mate with ovine quadrupeds. Google ovine quadruped Labtard.
The picture Aardvark used to originally illustrate this point comes from a particular nasty blog that compares the ten things that Nadine and Sarah Palin have in common, dont expect a link by the way.
This picture has been removed by Aardvark because the author is complaining that picture was used without his permission despite the normal internet convention of having the authors url clearly visible on the picture, so it has been removed.
The first point this hate monger makes is “they both a have a womb and want to tell other people what to with theirs”, you can see where this is going.
This picture was taken Sunday afternoon where President Obeyme and Vice President Biden were trying to rally the dwindling numbers of supporters in a final push before Tuesdays elections.
Just 2 years ago Obama could have packed the place out, now barely 8,000 turned up to show support in an arena capable of holding 13,000. How the mighty are fallen.
Problem is for Obama he never really was as mighty as he believed himself to be Read the rest of this entry
Hunter S. Thompson most famous for Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas, wrote many other works, among them a book called The Great Shark Hunt which covered a range of political issues including Jimmy Carter and cocaine. Jimmy Carter had been reckoned to be the worst and dumbest US President of modern times, until a certain Barack Hussein Obama became US President.
Remember how the political sharks sensing the blood of Gordon Brown in the political waters began to circle until they realised they were not sharks, as sharks have a backbone which is not an accusation that could be levelled at any of Gordon Browns cabinet colleagues. Politicians are little different to sharks in behaviour or outlook, the big difference is the sharks in the USA have backbone and balls.
Obama now commands 39% approval rating from the US public which means in the Democrat camp they are briefing against their party leader and President Read the rest of this entry
