When Nadine Dorries announced on Twitter that she was appearing on BBC Question time tonight there was an immediate out pouring of what can only be described as pure unadulterated vitriol, in short its just plain nasty.
These sorts of attacks on right wing female politicians, bloggers and tweeters are all too common place, Aardvark has direct knowledge of personal sexual slurs being made against people he knows, not to mention the blue anteater who would like to set the record straight: Aardvarks don’t mate with ovine quadrupeds. Google ovine quadruped Labtard.
The picture Aardvark used to originally illustrate this point comes from a particular nasty blog that compares the ten things that Nadine and Sarah Palin have in common, dont expect a link by the way.
This picture has been removed by Aardvark because the author is complaining that picture was used without his permission despite the normal internet convention of having the authors url clearly visible on the picture, so it has been removed.
The first point this hate monger makes is “they both a have a womb and want to tell other people what to with theirs”, you can see where this is going.
After an absence of a few months Gordon Brown and Labour’s smears and lies machine is in full mobilisation again, and as usual the target is a woman, in this case Conservative PPC Adeela Shafi.
A reasonable person would be forgiven for thinking that following on from Smeargate and the legal action against Gordon Brown’s personally hired pit viper Damian McBride, Labour would have learnt it’s lesson about making unfounded allegations.
During the Labour Party Conference there was speculation about the “Glorious return of Damian McBride“, though the use of glorious and McBride is the same sentence does smack of the oxymoron.
Consider the evidence: Conservative female politician, unfounded lies and smears, a well orchestrated campaign, there is a distinct whiff of grubby pit living here.
Gordon Brown and the Labour Party’s latest lies and smears campaign is being spearheaded by the Daily Mirror who in another display of the worst form of journalism have printed half truths and unresearched lies about Adeela Shafi.
Firstly the Mirror was tipped off by Labour HQ’s opposition research bods, Labour can’t afford much but they sure as hell are bringing in the dark artists. Labour bloggers and twitter users have confirmed to TB that they were tipped off by Victoria Street and asked to heavily promote the story. Cough. The whole day will then end in a phonebanking session for Kerry run directly out of Labour’s Victoria Street HQ.
The Mirror piece is an extremely lazy piece of journalism.
So here’s the problem – at this point there’s no evidence that Adeela Shafi owes a penny, but there’s a very clear implication from the Mirror that she owes £324,272. I’ve set out above why I think all the Mirror has is a CCJ register search – which can’t support that implication. You can defame by implication, of course, and an implication that someone has failed to pay a substantial amount despite a judgement is plainly defamatory.

2009 has been Gordon Brown’s annus horribilis (yes there is probably a Mandelchump joke in there) the financial saviour of the world could not save his own country, as the financial predictions of Brown and Darling were proved not only wrong, but so wide of the mark as to be laughable.
The scandal of MP’s expenses exploded in to the news courtesy of the Telegraph, and continues to cause massive tidal waves with today’s news that the Met Police have sent 2 further files on MP’s to the Crown Prosecution Service, making a total of 6 MPs and Lords in the frame. The expenses scandal initially reflected badly on the Government and Gorbals Mick the speaker, then backfired on Gordon Brown as he has had to pay back more money he should not have claimed.
The things claimed have verged from the ridiculous to fraud for non-existent mortgages, there will doubtless be some sacrificial lambs next year to satisfy the blood lust of voters rightly incensed over the abuse of taxpayers money by people they trusted.
The rising number of casualties in Afghanistan, the shortage of helicopters, equipment and funding blew up and did Brown, Ainsworth and Labour no favours.
Gordon Brown’s inability to admit there will have to be cuts in spending, the infamous 10% Tory cuts smear when government departments were preparing 20% cuts, 50% income tax and the resumption of class war and politics of envy have all failed to resonate with the public.
Then there was the slow motion car crash of the Labour party conference, the Sun pulling the plug on Labour support and Mandelson redefining the meaning of “Chump”. Read the rest of this entry

Is there such as thing as a good day for the Prime Mentalist anymore? If indeed such a thing still exists then Thursday 29th October 2009 certainly is not a good day.
Firstly the news from the USA that their economy is out of recession and like Germany, Obama’s fiscal stimulus package includes Tax Cuts not endless tax rises disguised as Green measures or blatant politics of envy like the 50% tax rate.
The man who ended “Boom and Bust” and derided Shadow Chancellor George Osborne got it spectacularly wrong. This country was indeed uniquely placed, uniquely placed to be totally screwed for a least a generation by the biggest financial incompetent since Gerald Ratner.
Sadly every Conservative blogger who said Brown’s fiscal policies were insane has been proved totally correct, the country is going to suffer for a generation because of a wannabe second rate mental midget.
The news today that Nadine Dorries will receive damages from Damain McBride reflects badly on Brown, and the news that there are two other suits outstanding. The one against 10 Downing Street could turn out to be the most damaging because Gus O’Donnell the head of the civil service was McBride’s employer and the emails were sent from McBride’s desk, from a government computer during working hours.
Meanwhile Brown has donned his cloaking device and is nowhere to be seen.

Lies and Smears are the creed of the regime run by Gordon Brown and best personified by the odious creep Damian McBride. McBride, Derek Draper (Mr Kate Garraway) and then Labour Party Secretary Ray Collins orchestrated a campaign of lies and smears against any one who dared challenge the omnipotence of Dear Leader, McBride was himself hired by Gordon Brown as his attack dog. No one was safe from these three who give pond life a bad name.
Aardvark is not going to repeat McBride’s lies and smears except to say that Read the rest of this entry

Over the last two days we have reported extensively on the possible “glorious return” of Damian McBride, followed by a smear on George Osborne by Deputy Labour Leader Harriet Harman and then later on where Harman smears and lies in an approved Labour Party recruitment email linking the Conservatives and the BNP
Latest Labour Heavyweight to enter the lies and smears game is David Milliband, who gave his speech to a largely empty as usual conference hall.
The Foreign Secretary spouted this smear “Last week on the BBC, and you should go through the transcript, Eric Pickles, the Chairman of the Conservative Party, explained without a hint of shame that we should not condemn one of their new allies, the ‘For Fatherland and Freedom’ party, who every year celebrate the Latvian Waffen SS with a march past of SS veterans, because they were only following orders.”
Shadow Foreign Secretary William Hauge had this to say “David Miliband’s smears are disgraceful and represent a failure of his duty to promote Britain’s interests as Foreign Secretary. He has failed to check his facts. He has just insulted the Latvian Government, most of whose member parties have attended the commemoration of Latvia’s war dead. Just because Latvia is a small country does not give the Foreign Secretary the right to put cheap party spin before the national interest. It is also indecent to allege that
Eric Pickles, who has an admirable record campaigning against anti-Semitism and other forms of racism, was defending the Waffen SS. Mr Miliband should withdraw that suggestion.”
The Latvian Govenment’s website includes here an explanation of how the smears being repeated by Miliband et al originate from Soviet propaganda, now that is not the first time in history that Labour have been linked with Soviet propaganda.
Iain Dale on his blog had this to say “It looks like David Miliband sunk into the gutter with his attacks on Conservatives this morning during his speech at the ghost town Labour conference. He accused the Conservatives of consorting with fascists, reckoned Eric Pickles was somehow defending the Waffen SS and that Michael Kaminski is an anti semite. Pretty strong stuff for a man in charge of British diplomacy. It’s also further evidence of the desperate tactics he is deploying in order to keep himself in the post election leadership race. William Hague isn’t best pleased“
