The Great Texas Fracking Drought That Was Not Caused by Fracking

A very small town in Texas has allegedly run out of water, the cause of the water shortage is of course, facking and the oil industry.

The Greens global campaign against fracking continues unabated with this latest flimsy story from the keyboard of Green junk journalist Suzanne Goldenberg at the Guardian where a very small town in Texas has apparently run out of water.

The story is actually over 2 months old, but in true Grauniad tradition has been dusted off and vaguely presented to appear as though the events are current and that the town is still dry.

To be honest, Goldenberg and yours truly have history, not in the biblical sense, but we have crossed swords on Twitter, the net result being that Goldenberg blocked me on Twitter from following her, or Tweeting with her, quite simply because I asked her question about one of her posts in the Grauniad. The story has naturally been resurrected in the light of David Cameron’s statement on Shale Gas at the weekend that “Britain cannot afford to miss out on Shale Gas”

Britain’s Coalition Government is to launch a campaign to undo the lies of the former Climate Change minister Chris Huhne.

The sheer farce of Britain’s Coalition Vichy Government has never been more clearly demonstrated than by this story.

If only David Cameron had cojones 10% of the size of Maggie Thatcher’s then Britain would not have this sorry sham of a Government, Cameron should have formed a minority government and got on with the job, instead the Green lobotomized heir to Tony Blair formed a coalition with Little Nicky Clegg and his Liberal Democrats. A Coalition that is at odds with itself, instead of a unified approach to all policies from both parties, certain policies are run exclusively by the Conservatives, others by the Liberal Democrats, which gives little impression of cohesion, and can have disastrous consequences for the country, a case in point being Climate and Energy Policy.

Having had a month off blogging and really taking no  interest, in the news or the warming alarmists due to being very busy relocating, the decline of the AGW scam is quite amazing, when you read loads of new stories everyday you tend not to particularly notice the gradual decline, until some major event like Climategate or another UNFCC COP failure happens.

The old saying goes that a week in politics is a long time, well a month in the Anthropogenic Global Warming industry equates to several years of decline, as the move away from Green foolishness and stupidity accelerates in the last bastion of the Church of Climatology, Europe.

Eustice is like all the politicians, still hedging their political bets by saying they are personally persuaded in the existence of the big bad CO2 wolf that is so often summoned, yet never comes, while preparing to advise the British Government to implement policies that go directly against their personal persuasions,

Green Defeat – Germany Votes To Keep On Fracking

The inexorable march of shale gas in europe continues, no sooner has Britain given the green light for fracking so the German Parliament has voted by 309 against 259 to continue fracking.

But isn’t fracking according to the Greens a new and barely tried technology?

Germany has been fracking since the 1960s, without any of the often predicted Green disasters happening, after 50 years fracking is hardly an emergent technology.

Following the usual global pattern the Green Party and the Left Party tried to ban fracking in Germany:

Finally David Cameron has broken his silence on Climate Change, after a chequered history involving bothering huskies and putting a bijou bird chopper on his roof, Dave has finally woken up to the economic political reality of the Green dream, it is totally unaffordable.

More importantly though, because Dave is a politician, high energy prices do not win votes or create jobs, which also win votes, once being Green was sort of a vote winner now as COP18 has demonstrated the whole AGW boondoggle is dead, and politicians have a severe aversion to hanging around dead political agendas.

The economic benefits of the shale gas revolution in the USA are well known, only in Europe have the Greens managed to delay fracking because it is not politically correct and approved Green tokenism:

Wind Farm subsidies are to be cut 10% as George Osborne refuses to sign for more economic suicide from Climate Change Targets post 2020.

This has been a very long time coming, but at last some sense is starting to prevail, and the rollback of the Green nightmare is starting in Britain.

George Osborne is refusing to sign up to new carbon emissions targets and insisting on a new ‘dash for gas’ as the Government prepares to unveil its latest energy plans. The Chancellor, backed by David Cameron, is understood to be determined not to commit Britain to tough new climate targets beyond 2020, arguing they will put businesses at a significant disadvantage.

Perhaps at last Osborne and Cameron have woken up to the dangers of  economic disaster that greening an economy causes, EU member state Spain being a classic case of how to wreck an economy with renewables.

The reality has still to set in for the ecomentalists, no one is listening, no one cares what you say and the whole Green ecomentalist movement is peripheral to everything these days.

Global warming, climate change, climate disruption, sustainable development whatever the ever changing scam was all about, died at Rio+20 so the same old tired calls for Green energy and CO2 emissions cuts are just so much worn out Green rhetoric.

“Dash for Gas angers campaigners” trumpets the Guardian with the usual righteous indignation because the Green environmental movement is upset.

The Greens naturally oppose anything that is not heavily subsidised politically correct Green renewable energy, never a movement to be confused with real facts, they are programmed to automatically oppose any form of affordable reliable energy.

The extravagant and erroneous statements they make about solar power for example: “There are enough roof tops in Britain for the country to provide its energy needs“; doubtless there is sufficient roof space for this Green wet dream, the problem is that the most significant part of this equation, the big orange ball in the sky does not always shine and is conspicuous by its absence at night.

The same goes for wind farms, which despite getting billions in Green subsidies fail to generate more than 3.3% of Britain’s electricity needs and suffer from the problems of no wind, too much wind and not very often being able to generate sufficient power at times of peak demand.
