Gordon Brown boasted after the last cabinet reshuffle and the mass appointment of unelected ministers had given the country a Government of All Talents popularly know as GOATs.
They subsequently deserted the sinking Labour ship almost as fast as they came on board.
Number 10 has today confirmed that Chris Bryant a parliamentary under secretary will in future oversee European Policy, Baroness Kinnock lasted just four months.
When he appointed this unelected Euro trougher Brown had this to say:”Glenys Kinnock is an excellent Minister for Europe who has enjoyed a huge reputation in the European Parliament for the work she’s done. Great contacts with not just the individual countries of Europe, and remember this is about preparing for European Councils, people who will get on with the governments and the rest of the country and persuade them to do things. She’s an excellent appointment“.
What a talent replaced by a largely unknown parliamentary under secretary.
Not a government of GOATs more a government of GOITS
