Literally within minutes of the collapse of the Copenhagen summit the eco-facists were looking for a new way to force their views and debunked science on us.

In a superb example of overriding the democratic process former Labour Party deputy leader John Prescott on BBC 2 Newsnight Program:

In a debate with Senator Inhofe, Inhofe pointed out that Obama had no power to give anything away at Copenhagen.
Prescott immediately jumped in and triumphantly declared that was not true as the US EPA has declared CO2 a danger to public health and that was sufficient; obviously democracy has no place in the Church of Climatology. Inhofe responded by saying that the EPA had NO POWER to override Congress as Climategate was now the subject of legal actions against scientists and institutions and that it was very likely that several scientists were going to face criminal charges for fraud.

Democracy and religion have never been comfortable bed mates and the Church of Climatology remains true to this rule.

In the Guardian Labour Grand Dame, Voice of the Proletariat and Tuscan property magnate Polly Toynbee lets rip about how the leaders know better than the people, who in some cases actually elected their leaders and expect their views to be represented.

Sometimes we’re inclined to dismiss Polly as a loveable comedy figure, what with her lovely house in Tuscany contrasting so amusingly with her prolier-than-thou politics, and the never ending japesomeness of her deft, lighter-than-air prose.

But you know what? When she reveals her true colours, as she does here, I think she’s really, really scary. Her whole article teeters on the brink of demanding an eco-fascist world government to save us all from ourselves.

In the coming days expect more of the “we know better than you” smug attitude from those that will stop at nothing to force their global vision on an unwilling and unbelieving world.

Climategate – Copenhagen Daily Express: “Gordon Brown The Climate Nut Who Will Ruin Britain”

Climategate is gathering pace as more mainstream media starts to report, and reflect the true depth of UK public feeling about the UN Climate Change circus in Copenhagen.

Almost upon arrival Brown was bragging he would plunge the UK further into debt to buy his place as a World Statesman. When Ethopia suggested Global Socialism as the panacea for Climate Change, Brown was immediately up and supporting them.

In today’s Daily Express they let rip about “Climate Nut” Brown:

GORDON Brown was yesterday accused of signing a £500billion death warrant for Britain’s economy in his desperate quest for a climate change deal.

The Prime Minister has offered a dramatic 42 per cent cut to 1990 levels of carbon dioxide emissions by the year 2020.

His pledge – the biggest reduction proposed by any western industrialised nation – was made despite a continuing debate about whether mankind is to blame for climate change.

Ignoring the dire state of the country’s finances and record Government borrowing figures announced yesterday, Mr Brown has already pledged to hand over £7.5billion to an international fund to help poorer countries cope with climate change.

He made the 42 per cent offer in a bid to give the flagging talks in Copenhagen a fresh impetus with world leaders, including US President Barack Obama, trying to find a face-saving formula on the last day.

If he succeeds, he will be able to claim that he saved the planet much as he boasted of having “saved the world” over the banking crisis.

Climategate – Copenhagen As Talks Collapse The Blame Game Begins

As the Climate Change house of cards comes tumbling down, so the participants are seeking to find scapegoats for their inability to find an agreed solution to a problem that does not exist.

COPENHAGEN (Reuters) – Prospects for a strong U.N. climate pact grew more remote on Thursday at the climax of two-year talks as ministers and leaders blamed leading emitters China and the United States for deadlock on carbon cuts.

Dozens of heads of state were arriving in the Danish capital to address the December 7-18 conference, meant to sign a new pact to curb greenhouse gas emissions on Friday. Negotiators’ failure to draft a coherent text means they have a mountain to climb.

“The news that we’ve been receiving is not good,” Chancellor Angela Merkel told the German parliament.

“I must say very honestly, that the United States’ offer to cut by 4 percent compared to 1990 levels is not ambitious.”

India’s environment minister accused rich countries of planning a “propaganda campaign” to blame developing nations for any breakdown in negotiations. Developing economies are expected to add almost all future growth in carbon emissions

COPENHAGEN — Less than two days before an agreement on climate change is supposed to be wrapped up by heads of state such as Prime Minister Stephen Harper and U.S. President Barack Obama, huge issues remain unresolved at the Copenhagen conference.

On Wednesday evening, Canada’s Environment Minister Jim Prentice said four dozen countries were still waiting for a high-level Danish text to discuss, but none was forthcoming.

As the summit disintergrates so the warmists are turning each on other as each disparate group tries to be more righteous that the other.

Climategate – Copenhagen Gordon Brown Arrives And Offers Fear And Bribes In Equal Doses

Gordon Brown: We have 50 days to save the world

The cursed one eyed son of the Manse has arrived in Copenhagen, 2 days early in “Save The World” Mode. Just 50 days ago we were all doomed as there were only “50 days to Save The World“; no agreement at Copenhagen and the planet was toast.

During the course of those 50 days we have had Climategate which effectively set the seal of doom on Copenhagen, long before the first private jet landed and the occupants were taken away by limo.

Labour have long tried to play Brown as the international statesman and saviour of just about everything, there is an old saying about no believing your own publicity, which Brown has ignored and was amply demonstrated by his “We saved world” slip during Prime Ministers Question time. Despite much digging about on non UK blogs Aardvark can find no mention of Brown’s state visit to Copenhagen, coverage in the UK media is not that great.

Brown in an interview with Sky News:

“There are many outstanding issues, which I’m here to resolve.

The arrogance of the man is amazing, he really believes he is the saviour. As they say in the USA: “Sorry, Gordon who?”

On arrival Brown immediately starts to peddle the “children” and “fear” message; if agreement is not reached then “fear, fear, fear, children, fear fear………”, the normal predictable press release from the Church of Climatology.

According to Gordon Brown agreement at Copenhagen will secure a prosperous future and create lots of new jobs. This is the man who said “British jobs for British workers” in a speech, knowing full well that under the laws of his beloved EUSSR, this would be illegal. In the UK we have already seen what this means,

A truly remarkable event happened in Copenhagen yesterday, Al Gore leader of the Church of Climatology got up and preached a sermon about the Arctic being ice-free in 5 years, and no one believed him.

The Times:

Mr Gore, speaking at the Copenhagen climate change summit, stated the latest research showed that the Arctic could be completely ice-free in five years.

In his speech, Mr Gore told the conference: “These figures are fresh. Some of the models suggest to Dr [Wieslav] Maslowski that there is a 75 per cent chance that the entire north polar ice cap, during the summer months, could be completely ice-free within five to seven years.”

However, the climatologist whose work Mr Gore was relying upon dropped the former Vice-President in the water with an icy blast.

“It’s unclear to me how this figure was arrived at,” Dr Maslowski said. “I would never try to estimate likelihood at anything as exact as this.”

Mr Gore’s office later admitted that the 75 per cent figure was one used by Dr Maslowksi as a “ballpark figure” several years ago in a conversation with Mr Gore.

So yes, for the Times to report on the Holy Father of the global AGW movement making a total dork of himself is indeed a landmark event.

Climategate – Tony Blair The world must take action on climate change…even if the science is not correct

Failed Euro presidential candidate and former Prime Minister Tony Blair says “Even if the science is not correct the world must act”.

How must the world act with uncertain science?

What if the effects of cutting emissions is not as predicted and completely different set of events happen as a result of cutting emissions?

The science is corrupted and not trusted by anyone but the eco-facists, the sensible course of action would be to use real data and methods and arrive at answer that the data supports, not hack the data to give the answer required.

Very little about Copenhagen is to do with Climate Change, which is why they are so determined to rush through the hair shirt eco-chic fair trade socialist agenda, which is the real reason for the summit.
The money on offer to developing nations is to buy their support for one world intrusive government.

Following the ‘climategate scandal’, Mr Blair said the science may not be “as certain as its proponents allege”.

But he said the world should act as a precaution against floods, droughts and mass extinction caused by climate change, in fact it would be “grossly irresponsible” not to.

“It is said that the science around climate change is not as certain as its proponents allege. It doesn’t need to be. What is beyond debate, however, is that there is a huge amount of scientific support for the view that the climate is changing and as a result of human activity,” he said.

“Therefore, even purely as a matter of precaution, given the seriousness of the consequences if such a view is correct, and the time it will take for action to take effect, we should act. Not to do so would be grossly irresponsible.”

The Chilcott Inquiry has already shown just how much you can believe Blair, who lied repeatedly to the House of Commons and the country over starting the Iraq war.

Climategate – Copenhagen Is Heading For Collapse

In the Times of India today:

The ministerial round that began on Saturday only added to the fear that industrialised countries were not ready to budge from their stands and the negotiations were headed towards a collapse.

The Indian and the Chinese governments made it clear that their leaders, Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and Premier Wen Jiabao, were not going to come in at the end of the talks to crack the fine details, they would agree only if the industrialised world was ready for a deal by December 16.

Rumours flew fast and thick that if the US could not secure a weak “pledge and review’’ kind of agreement that it had been supporting for months, President Barack Obama may give the meet a miss.

Copenhagen stalls decision on catastrophic climate change for six years – The Times

World leaders will not agree on the emissions cuts recommended by the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) and are likely instead to commit to reviewing them in 2015 or 2016.

The delay will anger developing countries who, scientists say, will face the worst effects of climate change despite having contributed relatively little of the man-made greenhouse gases in the atmosphere.

A draft text published by the UN says that there should be a review in 2016, which could result in an “update of the long-term global goal for emissions reductions as well as of the adequacy of commitments and actions”.

Despite the denials from the Church Of Climatology the Climategate emails have done the damage to Michael Mann’s Hockey Stock, Carbon billionaire Al Gore, the CRU and the IPCC.

A delay until 2015/16 is interesting, does this mean they are going to start again on climate change data with real scientists, or allow the neo marxist, one world governmentmentalists another 6 years to keep spinning the same lie and editing the data to get the answers their political agenda requires?

Copenhagen Climate Talks SUSPENDED, In Chaos, As Countries Walk Out Of The Conference:

Africa has pulled the emergency cord to avoid a train crash at the end of the week. Poor countries want to see an outcome which guarantees sharp emissions reductions yet rich countries are trying to delay discussions on the only mechanism we have to deliver this – the Kyoto Protocol.

This not about blocking the talks – it is about whether rich countries are ready to guarantee action on climate change and the survival or people in Africa and across the world.

“Australia and Japan are crying foul while blocking movement on legally binding emissions reductions for rich countries. This tit for tat approach is no way to deal with the climate crisis.”

African countries have refused to continue negotiations unless talks on a second commitment period to the Kyoto Protocol are prioritized ahead of broader discussions under a second LCA track. Australia, Japan and others have succeeded in stopping Kyoto Protocol discussions as a result. Of the two tracks of negotiations underway in Copenhagen the Kyoto Protocol is the only one which includes a mechanism for legally binding emissions reductions by rich countries.

Climategate – Copenhagen British Jobs Are Already Paying The Price Of The Warmist Lie

On Thursday Aardvark blogged about the EU wide Carbon Trading scam, an industry that will grow ever bigger and more powerful if an agreement is reached at COP15.

Carbon Trading is just another scam, but like all scams it claims casualties in this case, British Jobs.

A far cry from Gordon Brown’s British Jobs for British Workers, the slogan should be Carbon Trading for British Jobs.

What is the connection between Dr Rajendra Pachauri, the Indian railway engineer who has been much in evidence at the Copenhagen climate conference, as chairman of the UN’s Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change, and an Indian-owned steel company’s decision to mothball its giant Teesside steel works next month, ripping the heart out of the town of Redcar by putting 1,700 people out of work?

The real gain to Corus from stopping production at Redcar, however, is the saving it will make on its carbon allowances, allocated by the EU under its Emissions Trading Scheme (ETS). By ceasing to emit a potential six million tonnes of CO2 a year, Corus will benefit from carbon allowances which could soon, according to European Commission projections, be worth up to £600 million over the three years before current allocations expire.

But this is only half the story. In India, Corus’s owner, Tata, plans to increase steel production from 53 million tonnes to 124 million over the same period. By replacing inefficient old plants with new ones which emit only “European levels” of CO2, Tata could claim a further £600 million under the UN’s Clean Development Mechanism, which is operated by the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change – the organisers of the Copenhagen conference. Under this scheme, organisations in developed countries such as Britain – ranging from electricity supply companies to the NHS – can buy the right to exceed their CO2 allocations from those in developing countries, such as India. The huge but hidden cost of these “carbon permits” will be passed on to all of us, notably through our electricity bills.

A foretaste of what we can expect if the Copenhagen farce agrees anything, a global economy with multi-national’s trading carbon credits for jobs.

Tata/Corus can potentially receive £1.2 billion as a reward for Britain losing 1700 jobs, the pill made all the sweeter by Gordon Brown contributing £1.5 billion we dont have to the fund.

British taxes paying to kill British jobs, all so Brown can save the world from a non existent threat.

Climategate – Copenhagen And The €5 Billion Carbon Trading Fraud

Carbon Trading the business of the future according to Al Gore and other warmists, the problem with Carbon Trading is that it is as corrupt and dishonest as the religion science behind Anthropogenic Global Warming. Both EU and the Government have been aware of the VAT scams being operated by organised gangs of criminals for several months.

At the begining of December Aardvark blogged about the Danes running a Carbon Trading scam:

Carbon trading fraudsters may have accounted for up to 90pc of all market activity in some European countries, with criminals pocketing an estimated €5bn (£4.5bn) mainly in Britain, France, Spain, Denmark and Holland, according to Europol, the European law enforcement agency.

First, there were those infamous hacked e-mails from the Climatic Research Unit (CRU) at the University of East Anglia. Now, a mere seven days before the Copenhagen Conference on climate change, this breaking news story takes the breath away. The whole ‘global warming’ shambles is falling apart. Today, The Copenhagen Post declares: “Denmark Rife With CO2 Fraud”:

“Denmark is the centre of a comprehensive tax scam involving CO2 quotas, in which the cheats exploit a so-called ‘VAT carrousel’, reports Ekstra Bladet newspaper.

Police and authorities in several European countries are investigating scams worth billions of kroner, which all originate in the Danish quota register. The CO2 quotas are traded in other EU countries.”
