Britain Scraps Post 2020 Unilateral Climate Targets

Wind Farm subsidies are to be cut 10% as George Osborne refuses to sign for more economic suicide from Climate Change Targets post 2020.

This has been a very long time coming, but at last some sense is starting to prevail, and the rollback of the Green nightmare is starting in Britain.

George Osborne is refusing to sign up to new carbon emissions targets and insisting on a new ‘dash for gas’ as the Government prepares to unveil its latest energy plans. The Chancellor, backed by David Cameron, is understood to be determined not to commit Britain to tough new climate targets beyond 2020, arguing they will put businesses at a significant disadvantage.

Perhaps at last Osborne and Cameron have woken up to the dangers of  economic disaster that greening an economy causes, EU member state Spain being a classic case of how to wreck an economy with renewables. Read the rest of this entry

British Chancellor Demands An End To Climate & Renewable Energy Targets

Britains Chancellor of the Exchequer George Osborne is demanding an end to the Green stupidity of Unilateral Climate and Renewables targets.

The collapse of the Green dream in Britain continues as Chancellor of the Exchequer, George Osborne demands an end to the pointless destruction of industry and the economy by Climate and Renewables Energy targets.

Osborne upset the Green ecomentalists in October last year when at the Conservative Party conference he said: “We’re not going to save the planet by putting our country out of business“, which caused uprorar,  not only amongst the self appointed Green gaulieters, but also within the Liberal Democrat segment of the lack lustre coalition government this country is stuck with until 2015.

There are obvious splits within the coalition government, never more so than between the Liberal dominated Department of Energy and Climate Change and the Treasury. Read the rest of this entry

Green NGOs Very Upset By George Osborne’s Budget

Chancellor George Osborne signalled the start of the dash for gas in today’s Budget speech in the House of Commons, backed up with a £3 billion allowance for new gas and oil fields to the west of the Shetland Islands.

The wailing and gnashing of teeth from the  marxist  agrarian ecomentalists was almost immediate, with the usual chorus of Green jobs,  low carbon economy, CO2 emissions targets,  the old worn out lie that fossil fuel prices will only ever rise, and usual, completely ignoring shale gas and fracking. British Greens Fear March 21st 2012

Chancellor George Osborne

Chancellor George Osborne "We're not going to save the planet by putting our country out of business"

Even before the ignominious departure of Climate Religion minister Chris Huhne to face criminal charges for Perverting the Course of Justice, the writing was on the wall for the Green Agenda in Britain.

In October 2010 Chancellor of the Exchequer George Osborne caused outrage amongst the Green ecomentalists with his statement “We’re not going to save the planet by putting our country out of business“.

Then Huhne was gone, his replacement, Ed Davey professed to be as big an idiot as Huhne, then largely dropped off the radar, after opening an off shore wind farm that Huhne had originally been scheduled to open.

At the beginning of March 2012 Prime Minister David Cameron suddenly turned against wind farms when he said “wind farms over subsidised and wasteful of public money“.

With not only Tory MPs complaining about the cost Greening Britain, but also a Lib Dem Cabinet minister wanting £740 billion of Green taxation removed, the Green NGOs, renewable energy subsidy junkies and every gong banging hippie that barks at the moon are fearing that March 21st will be Black Wednesday for the Church of Climatology in Britain. The War On Affordable Energy – George Osborne vs Chris Huhne

George Osborne will slay the Huhne Dragon

George Osborne’s statement that Britain will not go it alone committing economic and energy security suicide has so far been met with little comment from the warming alarmists, apart from a couple of lack lustre articles from the Guardian about missing Conservative tree huggers, silence is the order of day.

Chris Huhne has been quieter than an eco mouse in the Church of Climatology, as Huhne’s plans for Agricultural Revolution Britain blow away like so much dust in the wind.

Huhne is doubtless plotting some investigation in to how “Big Gas” got at George Osborne, but the reality that Huhne knows all to well is that Osborne will have the final say on shale gas and Huhne’s plans for Green economic suicide: Read the rest of this entry

We’re Not Going To Save The Planet By Putting Our Country Out Of Business

George Osborne "We're not going to save the planet by putting our country out of business"

At last after 18 months of Dave and his brand of social democracy and Blair worship, something approaching a real Conservative has stepped up and said the insanity of Liberal Climate Change Minister Chris Huhne must be stopped.

Huhne is currently trying to stop Britain’s shale gas revolution by pushing the mendacious warming alarmist propaganda documentary Gasland as a real and valid reason to stop fracking.

At the Conservative Party conference the Chancellor, George Osborne has said it is time to stop the insanity of the Greens: Read the rest of this entry

Attila The Huhnatic Gets Slapped By George Osborne

George Osborne to Chris Huhne - "This is the Cabinet, not some sub-Jeremy Paxman interview."

Friday May 6th is going to be an interesting day for Nick Clegg and the Lib Dems, double-barreled defeat staring them in the face as their vote in Local Council elections evaporates and the Yes vote for AV in the referendum on changing our voting system, crashes and burns.

Chris Hunhe has actually taken time off from screwing the energy security of this country to position himself in another bid to lead what will most likely be the smoking remains of the Lib Dem party, in some sort of post May 5th putsch to oust Nick Clegg. Read the rest of this entry

George Moonbat – “Budget 2011 A Disaster For The Environment”

George Monbiot ": The "greenest government ever" should be discouraging oil consumption down, not making it cheaper to drive. "

George Monbiot really is the gift that keeps on giving, Aardvark was considering with little enthusiasm a blog on the budget from the Vichy Government when along came George and how the budget was a disaster for environment, saved by the Moonbat, thanks George.

Moonbat is deeply unhappy because the cost of personal and business transport is falling, the Green Investment Gesture Embarassment Bank isn’t going to waste billions of tax payers money until 2015 and houses are going to be built: Read the rest of this entry

George Osborne Axes Child Benefit For High Earners

George Osborne announces major changes to the benefits system

About time, how could anyone in all seriousness, justify Child Benefit payments to people who earn in excess of £44,000 a year, when the national average wage is £25,000.

There is something very wrong about a system that pays benefits to people on higher rate tax, there can be no moral justification for this at all, Read the rest of this entry

George Osbornes Emergency Budget

Like all Budgets there is some good news and some not so good, but at least for the first time in 13 years it’s a budget about saving money and less profligate spending.

Income tax personal allowance to increase by £1,000 to £7,000 this year and eventually to £10,000.

Corporation Tax will be cut by 1% each year for the next four years so that it is at its lowest rate in this country’s history by 2014 (24%). Corporation tax will be even lower for small firms. Investment allowances will be kept until 2012 so that their abolition won’t hurt recovery.

No increase in alcohol, tabacco or petrol as Labour had put them up enough already

Public sector pay freeze will be for two years (not one as previously suggested), exempting those earning £21,000 or less. These will receive flat £250 increases.

VAT up to 20% from January 2011, this was always coming whoever won the General Election.
